“Democracy Today” NGO in cooperation with the Folke Bernadotte Academy (FBA), organized a discussion on local peacebuilding.

The discussion brought together members of community councils from Tavush and Gegharkunik regions, as well as heads of departments and divisions of municipal administrations.

The participants reflected on the progress and key achievements of the pilot program and discussed current developments, challenges, and needs within their communities.

They also explored the link between the peace process and local peacebuilding, focusing on the roles, responsibilities, and opportunities of local self-government bodies in supporting peacebuilding initiatives and strengthening local institutions.

The discussion provided an opportunity to exchange experiences, identify community priorities, and explore ways to strengthen local actors’ engagement in the peace process.

The program is implemented with the support of the Folke Bernadotte Academy (FBA).
