“Democracy Today” NGO has conducted the Second School of Democracy on the topic of “Community Resilience and Active Engagement in the Pre-Election Period.”
During the meeting, the President of “Democracy Today” NGO, Gulnara Shahinyan, addressed the importance of balancing rational and emotional politics in small states, as well as the role of citizens in activating communities.
Hayk Toroyan, representative of CIMA, presented ways to make society more resilient and proactive, emphasizing the importance of early warning and risk identification at the community level. Key early warning signs discussed included hate speech, the spread of disinformation, local tensions, and mechanisms for their prevention.
The meeting was held in an atmosphere of active discussion, where participants had the opportunity to share their experiences and deepen their knowledge of community resilience and engagement in democratic processes.
The training was attended by women and youth displaced from Artsakh, as well as participants from the Tavush, Syunik, and Lori regions.
