“Democracy Today” NGO conducted a two-day training within the framework of the project “Addressing violence against women in the border areas of post-conflict Armenia”․ The training was attended by representatives of the women’s committees established within the framework of the project from the Tavush, Gegharkunik, and Lori regions.

During the training, participants discussed Armenia’s Third National Action Plan on the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1325 and the development of Local Action Plans (LAPs). The purpose of the discussion was to support the process of developing local action plans in communities. The training was led by Gulnara Shahinyan, President of the NGO “Democracy Today.”
Afterwards, psychologist Inna Hayrapetyan conducted a session on psychological resilience, emotional management, and self-care. Participants were introduced to tools and methods that help more effectively overcome trauma and stress and prevent professional burnout.
As a result, participants gained new knowledge and practical skills that will help them more effectively participate in the development of local action plans.

The NGO “Democracy Today” is implementing the project in cooperation with the Danner Foundation and with the support of CISU.
