“Democracy Today” NGO held a seminar for young people in Vanadzor on the topic of “Awareness of Local Self-Government Elections.”
Gunlara Shahinyan, President of the “Democracy Today” NGO, presented the objectives of the program and introduced the topic of community resource assessment, engaging participants in analyzing the opportunities, needs, and available resources of their community.
During the seminar, participants discussed the local self-government election system, the formation of local authorities, and the importance of citizen participation. Alongside the theoretical part, discussions were also held on assessing community resources and developing participatory thinking.
The program also addressed the psychological impact of elections, exploring how electoral processes influence people’s behavior, decisions, and emotions.
